A lesson that fits the bell,
in under a minute.

Built for the relief teacher walking into a class they've never met, the out-of-field teacher covering a year level they don't usually teach, and anyone whose planning time just disappeared. Set a couple of dials, hit generate, walk in with something that works.

Built on Australian Curriculum v9 State curriculum coverage explained (VIC · NSW · WA)
You know the 6:45am ClassCover ping. Three classes you've never met, and the bell doesn't care.
Why it's different

The basics, done properly

Generic tools hand you a wall of dot points and wish you luck. The details a relief teacher actually needs kept getting skipped, so we built around them. Underneath, every lesson runs the same explicit-teaching arc (review, model, practise, check) because that's what the evidence keeps saying works.

It actually fits the period

Pick 30, 45 or 60 minutes and every block is timed to finish on the bell. The app checks the maths for every lesson, because a plan that runs 12 minutes short is how you lose a Year 9 class.

Teach the class you have

Pitch every lesson from Needs additional support through to Extension: the level sets the reading load and the cognitive verbs your tasks use (describe, compare, analyse, justify), so the thinking is pitched too. Add reasonable adjustments for fine motor, vision, hearing, ADHD, autism and language processing, and every activity adapts. The content stays at year level. Only the delivery changes.

It tells you what to say

Ready-to-run mode separates what to say out loud, what to put on the board, and the timing cues, laid out so you can read it at arm’s length while the class files in. Real strategies like think-pair-share are woven in where they belong. Prefer your own style? Switch to the outline.

Match the room you're in

No tech in the room? Slide digital to zero and get a guaranteed no-device lesson. Class bouncing off the walls after lunch? Turn up the verbal slider and get them moving instead.

Works offline

The built-in lesson bank works without internet, so you’re covered in regional and remote schools, old buildings, or whenever the Wi-Fi decides to give up five minutes before class.

Nothing to approve

No student data, no accounts, no logins. Describe your class in the abstract, and student names never enter the system.

Free, and compliant by design

Every teacher has AI now. We make it ready to teach.

A blank chat box doesn’t know it’s Period 5 on a Tuesday, a mixed-ability Year 8 class, no devices, and 43 minutes on the clock. Lesson Plan It does.

Set the dials, and we’ll build the prompt for you. Paste it into the AI your school already uses, and we’ll turn the response into a print-ready lesson. Stuck on a locked-down department network? That’s the point. The approved AI becomes your engine, with nothing new for IT to approve.

Your school's approved tool not shown? The prompt works in any AI chat.

How it works

Two taps to a lesson

Set the dials.

Subject and year are all you need; leave 'Topic' blank and we’ll suggest a sensible one for you. Want more control? Set the class level in one tap, and tweak the timing or engagement mix.

Generate.

Pull from our offline lesson bank, build a prompt for your school-approved AI, or have it created live in-app on our Plan tier.

Walk into class.

Save it as a PDF, download an editable Word copy, or read it straight off your phone. You’ll also get an exit ticket for every lesson: actual evidence of learning that the regular teacher will quietly love you for.

Adrian, founder of Lesson Plan It

Why this exists

I’m Adrian Lowe. I spent years working across the Australian EdTech sector, and kept seeing the same story play out. Relief teachers, sometimes on their very first day, handed three unfamiliar classes and a blank timetable. Out-of-field teachers planning subjects they never trained in.

Schools investing in tools that sat untouched because they didn’t reflect what classrooms are actually like. And rural and remote schools with the opposite problem, barely any tools or resources, but every bit as determined to give their students quality learning.

This is the thing I kept wishing someone would build. For the teachers who are expected to be ready for anything, and for the students who deserve lessons that meet them where they are. So I built it.
